ZAG is currently looking for an Analyst to report to the Director of Operations in our Vancouver office. The successful applicant will be instrumental in inventory purchasing and manufacturing planning in our global supply chain. As an Analyst, you will evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding. Responsibilities • Organize and design data modeling/analysis services in a manufacturing environment. • Build deploy and maintain data support tools and definitions for database file/table creation using excel or other tools. • Perform extensive analysis of inventory transactions, trends and reports to identify, process, system and training deficiencies. • Maintain accurate inventory levels within the inventory management software. • Research root causes of inventory discrepancies by extracting data from Netsuite and reconcile any discrepancies • Program, format, extract and manipulate data in support of deliverable creation. • Perform changes to reports and data interfaces, and conduct ad hoc analyses. • Participation in analytical projects from the area of data analysis. • Assist the Director of Operations to complete special projects as needed Skills • As an Analyst, you are a highly intelligent and innovative problem solver, with strong analytical and operations management skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. You are very comfortable with facts, figures, numbers, and complex data analysis and are a highly logical thinker. • Knowledge and experience with MRP systems • Strong computer skills with a advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Visio and other Microsoft office programs • High degree of analytical skills; detailed and process oriented with an independent work-style • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross functionally with sales and finance teams • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. • Interest in Botanical and Science is an asset Requirements • A Bachelor degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or applied science to a master's degree in engineering or business management, operations management or a related field or equivalent work experience • Preferably 5 years of Analysis Experience in a manufacturing environment.
